- Michelle Tan

The Pakua is an eight-sided instrument that shows the different factors that affects ones life. The factors included are the directions, colors and elements and each factor has a corresponding Pakua number.

There are four lucky as well as unlucky directions. The directions’ luckiness depends on each person’s Kua number.

When making changes, one doesn’t necessarily have to make elaborate adjustments. Sometimes, the solution lies in changing the position of an item. Other times, adding lucky items such as green plants, fountains, and goldfish tanks would help the Feng Shui.

There are a number of things that you can do to attract money, enhance your love life and protect your health. For example, make sure that your place or bedroom doesn’t have sharp objects that point towards you as you work or sleep. Sharp points inside the house include table corners, bookshelves, etc. Sharp objects outside the house include houses, buildings, church, telephone poles, street lies, etc. Guard against all these as they will make you live a healthy, happy, and successful life.

Having good ch’i energy in the home and business is the foundation of having a peaceful and prosperous life. Make sure not to go extremes, however, as too much of a good thing is as bad as not having enough good ch’i. In Feng Shui, all things have to be balanced.

Proper interpretation of the elements in their productive cycle ensures good Feng Shui. There are a total of five elements according to Feng Shui experts. And these elements cover the nine sections of the home and property. Placements of all these elements are very important.

The Metal Element

This represents the west, northwest section and the color white. It also represents the health of the children, their well-being and the family-life. The Kua number is Seven. Placing objects in the designated section will activate the benefactors section, which in turn, will help you on your path to success.

The Earth Element

This represents the center of the house as well as the southwest and northeast section.

Feng Shui experts believe that the center of the house encompasses all elements. Meanwhile, the southwest section is represented by the color gold, is said to be the marriage corner and affects family happiness. Its number is two.

Experts believe that activating northeast of this element will be beneficial to those who are studying or wanting to gain knowledge. A good way to activate this section would be to place books and elite schools. The number of northeast is eight.

The Water Element

This element represents the north. It is the section that rules the career and the ability to make more money. The colors of this section are blue and black. Its kua number is one. Activating this section will make you move ahead of the professional world.

The Wood Element

The wood element represents the east. It is represented by the color green and its kua number is three. If you want to improve the quality of your life or maintain or your health, this is the section you have to pay attention to. Activate the east section by placing bamboo or green plants in the area.

The wood element also represents the southeast section. Its color is still green. It doesn’t represent the health like the east section. It represents the wealth of the family. The kua number is four. People who wish to have money can activate this section by placing green plants, a red envelope with a few coins inside, a small fountain or fish tank.

The Fire Element

This element represents the south section. The south’s color is represented by the red color. This section represents ones ability to become famous. Its kua number is represented nine.

If you want to be successful and well known in your field, you can activate this section by placing a horse, turtle, or elephant in its area. You can also place a world globe in this area.
